AYNSLEY:
Back to Urgent Care this morning, the incision site was leaking again. I don't understand why it's not just re-stitched-she doesn't have a problem until the stitches come out. But I am not a doctor, so I defer to them. Mom's wound was re-"super glued" and tied up with a new compression apparatus that she refers to as "the helmet" (Imagine a mesh scarf tied all around her head and tied at the top. She looks pretty cute) and sent back to the Kline.

The advantages to this new compression device is that it's must more comfortable for her to wear and it looks much more likely to stay on the necessary five days. She was able to sleep comfortably with it on and it's not in the way of eating or moving around.

After the chaotic morning, Mom tried to nap in the afternoon. It was tough, just due to outside noise and distractions, so we're hopeful that she'll just be able to get a really good night's sleep tonight. She was in good spirits when I talked with her, as though this is just another hurdle to jump and she's still up for the race.
